Early bird registration is now open for the 2nd annual Oakville Winter Chess Championship, a 5 round Swiss CFC and FIDE rated score based event happening in late January, 2019:
When: Friday, January 25th – Sunday, January 27th, 2019
Where: Holiday Inn, Oakville Centre, 590 Argus Road, Oakville, Ontario
Format
Type: 5 Round Swiss. CFC rated & FIDE rated for Championship and U-2100. CFC membership is required.
Type: 5 Round Swiss. CFC rated for U-1800, U-1500, U-1200 and U-900. CFC membership is required.
Sections: CHAMPIONSHIP, U-2100, U-1800, U-1500, U-1200 and U-900
This is a score-based tournament with fixed prizes based on total points for the tournaments. Last year, we paid a total of $9,150 in prize money. This year, prize money may be similar and could range from $9,000 to $12,000.
